TRAVEL LA : Stoney Point Park

My husband and I are explorers at heart.  We love to travel and spend time out in the wilderness.  So, we thought it would be fun to start a new series, TRAVEL LA, where we share some of our favorite places to travel in or around Los Angeles.

First up on our travel list is Stoney Point Park.  It’s a 76 acre national park in the valley that has hiking trails, beautiful rock features and, if you’re a rock climber like Pete, tons of places to climb. This park is unique because you’re surrounded by incredible rock formations and wildlife but you’re just outside the city and it still has an urban feel.

I think this is a great place to get away and spend some time in nature.  There are picnic benches, caves to explore and there’s even a horse ranch next door.
