For my boyfriend’s 30th I took him on a surprise getaway to Santa Barbara. I have stayed at the Kimpton Aurora in Sedona and was absolutely blown away. I decided to try the Kimpton Goodland in Goleta and was incredibly impressed. I love that Kimptons are all so different. They have another Kimpton in Downtown Santa Barbara that is more classic and upscale. We loved how much character the Goodland has. You feel like you are driving up to a vintage southwestern motor lodge. They had free yoga by the pool in the morning and a fantastic restaurant on site. They even have 2 bars and a pool table.
The first thing we were taken aback by was the incredible lobby. It is literally the cutest room I have ever been in. We were invited back for free wine hour and enjoyed a delicious red and white before going to the bar for cocktails and then into SB for dinner.
The room was absolutely perfect. It had a patio facing the pool. We love the simple southwestern decor.
We had brunch on the outside patio of the restaurant. It was serene and delicious!
We had drinks at the bar inside the restaurant which was just as cute!
Out front they have their own airstream and vintage car and even vintage cruisers to ride to the beach. Goleta beach is a quick bike ride away.
Obsessed with these lobby bathroom signs! Every little detain is so perfect!
One of our favorite things about the Goodland is that they have a record player in every room! They give you 3 records but you can always visit the record library in the lobby and listen to whatever you want! If you love the record you can buy a new copy! How fun is that??
I cannot recommend this hotel enough. My boyfriend is already planning when we can go back! It is such a unique experience. You will never forget your stay at the Goodland Santa Barbara!
