Homemade Super Healthy, Natural Mouthwash

Last night as I was brushing my teeth I realized I forgot to pick up mouthwash, again! I decided I would do some research and attempt to make my own. It was a huge success and I will probably never buy mouthwash again!

  1. 3/4 cup purified water
  2. 3 drops peppermint oil
  3. 3 drops tea tree oil
  4. 2 1/2 tsp baking soda
  5. 1 1/2 tsp Xylitol (optional)
  6. Jar or bottle

  1. Place filtered water in clean container.
  2. Add baking soda and shake to dissolve.
  3. Add oils.
  4. Add xylitol and mix.

Baking soda cleans mouth and whitens teeth. Tea tree oil is antibacterial. Xylitol is said to prevent cavities as well as fluoride! Peppermint oil is great flavor and helps with inflammation in the mouth while giving you super fresh breath!

Be sure to shake before each use as baking soda will sink to the bottom. Swish for 1-2 min nightly! Enjoy!
