Why We’re Crushing on Jessica Moore

We both loved Jessica from the moment we met her. You know within 5 minutes of talking to her that she is incredibly driven. When she has an idea or vision of what she’d like to achieve, she makes it happen. Her ability to work toward her goals professionally while working her current job and working out LITERALLY every day baffles us all. Jessica is unstoppable.  Jessica is the perfect southern bell while being one of the most worldly people I have met. I say “southern bell” because she is always effortlessly put together and exuding that indescribable heir that only southern women seem to possess! She is aways looking for the next place to travel and surrounds herself with all different kinds of people thus she is always learning, expanding and growing as a person.

I knew that Jessica grew up figure skating and that she is very talented but nothing could prepare me for just HOW amazing she is. I had the pleasure of going skating with her yesterday and it was absolutely incredible how beautiful she is on the ice! Even though she doesn’t skate often, it came right back to her body, which was amazing to watch! The spins and jumps are SO impressive and her graceful, beautiful way of executing them is so striking. I shouldn’t have been surprised because figure skating takes a huge amount of dedication and drive and although Jessica doesn’t compete anymore she still uses these skills every day.

Jessica’s amazing fashion blog: Miss Moore Style, has inspired us immensely in our endeavor. Her disciple and creative eye for fashion make her blog extremely unique. Check out her blog, twitter and instagram! you won’t regret it!

We got the scoop on how Jessica stays healthy fit and happy!

What type of activities do you do to stay fit? Growing up as a figure skater, working out wasn’t optional and I often didn’t enjoy it, but I knew it was a necessary evil to help me be more competitive on the ice. These days, I am all about whatever is motivating and fun. I love taking all kinds of classes, from martial arts, boot camp, pilates, spin, and whatever other crazy class I come across. The group atmosphere of classes really keeps me from slacking off like I know I would if I were to workout alone in the gym.IMG_7479

What do you think is the key to a healthy lifestyle? I think it is important to do everything in moderation. I used to be pretty extreme about my health choices, but that is not sustainable and will lead to burnout. I also think its important to not be too hard on yourself when you mess up a little. Nobody is perfect, so remembering that helps me when I feel too guilty from indulging my sweet tooth from time to time.

What’s your favorite asset? One of my favorite assets is my competitive nature. It keeps me focused on my goals even when I get discouraged.

What is your LEAST favorite workout? But why do you still do it? My least favorite workout is burpees, hands down, they are the WORST. But I still do them because they are such a great full body workout that burns mega calories!

If you had to choose any healthy meal or snack what would it be? My favorite healthy snack has got to be acai bowls. I can’t get enough of them lately!

We all have cheat days, what’s your poison? Margaritas with chips and guacamole.

What inspires you to be healthy and active? I love the way I feel when I am consistently working out and eating healthy. I have so much more energy and I feel so much better when I am taking care of myself, so I think that is probably my biggest inspiration to live a healthy, active lifestyle.

If you could give girls any advice about loving their bodies, what would you say? I didn’t love my body at all for many years and I still struggle with loving my body. I think that you have to learn to see the beauty in yourself. This can be so hard because the media is constantly bombarding us with what they believe is the ideal appearance. Learning to accept yourself as you are and not comparing yourself to others is one thing that I’ve learned. You might think that someone else has a better body, or is prettier, but that person might think the same about you!
