I could tell within moments of meeting Andrea that she is smart, quick, driven and talented. All of these things have held true as I have gotten to know her well. Andrea is the type of person who can achieve anything she puts her mind to and she NEVER gives up. She uses this drive in her business as a Pilates Instructor, in her dance career and in her own training regimen. She balances everything and does it all with passion. I have never seen her just going through the motions. If she is there she is fully committed to being the best she can be which is what makes her so amazing at everything she does! On top of all of this she is drop dead gorgeous and true to herself and her body. She cares about what she puts into her body because she loves and respects it, not because she wants to be a certain size. She has a unique style and flare that make her stand out. What I respect most about her is her commitment and loyalty to the people in her life. She truly is one of the strongest women I know!

What type of activities do you do to stay fit? I love, love, love, Pilates!! It’s challenging both physically and mentally. It completely changed my life when I was ill and unable to basically move and since then I’m stronger than I’ve been. I’ve been a dancer since the age of 4 and dance is the best way to get cardio in. I love to go to any kind of dance class and completely let loose. I really don’t care if I make a fool of myself in class, I think getting older makes you feel that way.
What do you think is the key to a healthy lifestyle? 4 things- sweat, water, sleep, and meditation. Sleep I don’t get enough of but I’m working on it.
What’s your favorite asset? My street smarts. Definitely. And my butt.
What is your LEAST favorite workout? Squats
But why do you still do it? Amazing for the knees and stability. I’d rather plié.
If you had to choose any healthy meal or snack what would it be? I’d like to say nut butters but I have a serious love for them and it can be a problem. So I’d say green juice!!!! And green smoothies. I’m so active that I need nutrients without feeling sluggish.
We all have cheat days, what’s your poison? Nut-butters. I love all of them. It’s a problem.
What inspires you to be healthy and active? I went from being completely healthy and and active to unable to leave my couch. I changed my life after that. I appreciate everything I have. Health is my priority in mine and my clients lives.
If you could give girls any advice about loving their bodies what would you say?It’s very easy to get caught up in what society wants us to look like but it’s simply not realistic. You have to treat your body as a temple, that includes loving it as-is. It’s the only one you get, if you treat it well it will be good to you. Trust me I know, I turned 40 this year and feel better than ever.
